1 week left of travelling then home..... One of the best endings to a trip you could want. In rio for the world cup in there winter which averages temperatures of 25 degrees.

So anyway to carry on from when i left off we started in Peru at a town called Arequipa which was actually a really nice place but had very little to do. We started watching the Liverpool champions league match which resulted in drinking all day due to the bet we made that if they Lost or if Fulham one we would carry on for the rest of the night.

There was a creepy man at the hostel who kept wanting us to click his back and then Rub deep heat into him. At one point he actually came into our room with the pot and i think his top off or undone at the front. I´m not sure but i think Rob may have been tempted. On the last day before leaving i went to the toilet and came out to find him sneaking around the landing with the pot again. Definitely a sign that its time to leave a place.

We are just about to enter Brazil for the second time, this time from Peru we head on the amazon for 4 days on a boat to get to Manaus. This is the last leg of the trip which is kind of depressing so luckily to cheer us up we have 4 weeks of Brazilian beaches to look forward to. Think about that for a moment......

So anyway carrying on with Bolivia we left to go to La Paz on the overnight bus which broke down after about 2 hours. Bolivian mechanics involved pulling parts out of the engine and hitting things with a crowbar which surprisingly didn't work so we had 2 options, Go back to a town called Potosi on a cement truck (this option was taken by the bus driver) or stay on the bus overnight. We went for the latter and ended up getting another bus back to Sucre the next morning so had to arrange the bus all over again.

We arrived ok on .... read more.

Despite everyone looking like the above photo Bolivia has to be one ofthe best countries ive travelled through. Please note the bowler hat,the lack of teeth and the baby hanging off the back (you can if youchoose to bang your babies head on the seats of buses if you want....this is apparently ok here) They also choose to wear aprons throughoutthe whole day, a piece of clothing with a very specific purpose chuckedon as an accessory.

Anyway we met a couple Hailey and Henry at the border after realisingthey too found one dog trying to rape another dog pretty funny andafter chucking in a couple of inbetweeners quotes (fiesty one you are)we spent the next 2 and a half weeks with them.

We actually spent to long talking at the border town as we missed theoriginal 10.30 bus so had to wait around for another 4 hours eating anaughty chic.... read more.

I made no notes..... erm so i´m going purely on memory now and to behonest Argentina doesnt really drop in many funny situations. Its verysimilar to Europe  so nothing i say can really interest you. I´ll smashthrough it and get to Bolivia.
So anyway we went to BA with the hopes of seeing Boca Vs River sowaited around for 12 days. Guess what..... it rained to much the gamegot called off after 11 minutes. The atmosphere pre game was amazingthough so it was worth nearly catching hyperthermia for.

Other than that i cant say alot about BA other than i absolutely lovedthe place. City of steak and partying. We met up with the 2 Americans,Josh and Mark from Mendoza as they had an apartment and drunk alot of Fernet (a weird spicy herby spirt you mix with coke) and went to alot of clubs. Normal drinking stories i guess. My favourite one is when in1 day Rob burnt his face then whilst eating a quiche knocked the cap out of his front tooth. A QUICHE?!!! he´ll tell you .... read more.

Is Argentina not supposed to be famous for its Steak?! Yes is what your thinking.... so why is it that all you seem to eat here is cheese and fucking ham..... I´ll explain my frustrations with this before going into details about the country and what i´ve been doing for the past 6 weeks but i´m sure you´ll agree that cheese and ham stories are far more interesting.

A normal food day here is like this.... wake up (obviously) eat stale bread, have a cheese and ham sandwich for lunch. Order a lasagne only to find that as well as a layer of pasta you also get a layer of cheese and ham...... and the best one was getting a meal on a bus trip which consisted of one slice of ham and cheese in a cake cup. 2 sandwiches, 1 cheese 1 ham and for desert a swiss roll that instead of jam had...... yep you guessed it cheese and ham layered in it with a single slice of pepper.

On another note i have had some fantastic meat here (no hom.... read more.

Largely due to the fact i lost my pen and bought a pencil by mistake which angered me and my passion for writing diminished........  and who wants to hear about how much fun i´m having in Brasil and Argentina when your at home in bad weather getting up for work every day, i wouldnt want to depress you all to much.

But anyway following on from my last entry which was ages ago we travelled to Ilha Grande an island just off the coast of Brasil. The idea was to spend 4 nights chilling out after the mayhem of Rio but it didn´t quite work out as planned. We spent most of the day trekking through Jungle getting lost, getting naked at waterfalls, not drinking enough, not eating enough, not sleeping enough and drinking to much Beer and Capirinha. Without the fear of getting helf at Knife/ Gunpoint or bummed in a Favela we relaxed and got smashed most nights at a beach bar.

The island itself was one of the most beautiful i´ve been on.... and .... read more.

So a couple of weeks in now so will give an update on what we´ve done so far.
Had a stupid stop over in Lisbon for 8 hours before flying to Rio but were able to leave the airport so got to wonder round the city centre, got looked at with hostility alot and got drugs offered 3 or 4 times so i´d say i didnt have the greatest impression of the place. Rob got to try out his Portugese for the first time though and it was pretty acurate ¨dos singles to the city centre please¨

Anyway flew into Rio at about 7 am.m and got the bus to our apartment 2 blocks from copacabana beach. Met up with Iain and Feen and heading out for a wonder around which of course ended with us sat by the beach drinking Skol at midday. 6 later and it was time for bed so had to go and nap before heading to Ipanema for a night out. Only had a few because we were not good company, At one point Iain was convinced there was a ¨fuck room¨out the back of the bar because people .... read more.
